We use professional Mirka sanding equipment connected to M-Class dust extraction, together with high-performance mesh abrasives such as Abranet. Different sanders and abrasives are selected according to the surface, shape and level of preparation required.
Preparation should not mean unnecessary mess throughout your home. Before sanding begins, floors, furniture and adjoining surfaces are carefully protected. Dust-extracted equipment is used wherever suitable, and the working area is kept organised and cleaned as the project progresses.

Is dust-extracted sanding completely dust-free?
No sanding method is completely dust-free. Our sanders are connected directly to professional extraction equipment, which captures dust at source and greatly reduces airborne dust compared with conventional sanding.
Why is sanding important before painting?
Good preparation helps remove imperfections, smooth repairs and create a sound, even surface for primers and finishing coats. The quality of the final finish depends heavily on the preparation underneath it.
Can you sand walls and ceilings as well as woodwork?
Yes. Depending on the condition and type of surface, dust-extracted sanding can be used on walls, ceilings, doors, frames, skirting, joinery and many other suitable painted surfaces.
Do I need to empty the room?
Small belongings and valuables should normally be removed. Larger furniture can often be moved away from the working area and carefully protected, depending on the room and the work required.
What about old or delicate surfaces?
Older, fragile or unusual coatings are assessed before preparation begins. Where machine sanding is unsuitable, a different or more controlled preparation method may be required.
Will there still be some cleaning afterwards?
Yes. Dust extraction greatly reduces the amount of dust produced, but normal preparation and cleaning are still required before the surface is ready for decorating.
