Why I Chose DULUX Paint

Dulux paint is a well known and popular choice for both amateur and professional painters and decorators. It is my personal favourite for both internal and external painting projects.

There are other good paint brands to consider too. The Crown Trade range is also good for internal painting projects and the brand Zinssner is an excellent choice for external painting works.

However, for me Dulux stands out as the leading overall paint brand for several reasons, which i will cover in detail below. As I have said it is my personal go to brand for all the Colchester painting and decorating work that I undertake.

The Top 3 Benefits of Dulux for Painting

  • An Extensive Colour box: The Dulux range has a large colour pallet that makes it easy to pick the ideal colour shade for the surface that you intend to paint. Both their range of exterior and interior paint colours is large.

  • Durability: Dulux paints are very resistant to wear. An internal wall that has been painted with Dulux can be wiped down if it gets marked. If you wipe down a wall with an inferior paint brand you may lose some of the depth of the colour. It is the same for their exterior paints which perform very well against all weather elements for many years.

  • Ease of Application: Dulux paints are much easier to apply than many other paint brands. the consistency of the paint means that it sticks to the roller and does not splash or splatter like some inferior paints do. It also applies very evenly for excellent coverage. i always recommend two coats but you could get away with one coat when using Dulux paint.

I am not alone in rating Dulux highly as a brand. The popular Painters World website ranks Dulux 2nd for interior painting and 1st for exterior painting.

For the reasons above Dulux has become my preferred brand for both interior painting projects and exterior painting work.

However, whilst I may decline to work with a low quality paint product (after all it will reflect on the standard of my work) I will always work with a customer's to accommodate their preferred paint brand where possible.

It is during the initial consultation stage of a project that I will discuss with you the materials to be used in your project. With the experience that I have gained as a professional painter over the last 12 years i am well placed to guide you in the best materials to be used.
