The Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz colour is described by the Pantone Colour Institute as "softly nestled between pink and orange". It is a warm pinkish orange colour that can be an excellent choice for a feature wall.
Feature walls can be an excellent way to use a sticking colour like this without going 'over the top'. It is a beautiful colour but is likely to be too bold to use to paint an entire room.
Personally, I see it as an excellent colour choice for use in a bedroom or living room feature wall. It is warm but also vibrant and brings a bright but cosy feel when used in a room that uses a lighter colour for the other walls.
The Pantone company has a trend-forecasting division that is called the Pantone Colour Institute.
The institution selects a colour every year as its chosen colour and often sets a trend for that colour, particularly in residential painting projects.
The Pantone Institute has been picking an annual colour every year since 1999.
The institute aims to pick a colour that it believes best captures the spirit of the moment for the year to come. Every year the institute studies colour trends for the year that has just passed and based on its research picks a colour for the new year.
The institute looks beyond colour choice in just residential painting projects. A lot of the research that the institute carries out is into trends in areas like fashion and entertainment. This is how they identify what colour they believe 'encapsulates the moment'. In this instance the institute have said that against a period where there has been much turmoil in he world the peach fuzz colour represents a softness and peacefulness that can be embraced.
